What is Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)?

The Government of Saskatchewan SINP chooses successful candidates when they apply for permanent resident status with IRCC. Candidates can apply to the SINP if they meet the program criteria.

The SINP includes following categories you can apply to:

International Skilled Worker Category

This category is designed for those who wish to work and settle in Saskatchewan. Skilled workers are nominated by the SINP via this category if they meet the SINP criteria and qualify in accordance with such factors as education, skilled work experience, and English or French Language ability and others.
International Skilled Worker Category has 3 sub-categories.

International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer

This sub-category is for skilled workers with a job offer for a skilled employment in Saskatchewan.

International Skilled Worker: Occupation In-Demand

This sub-category is for skilled workers with experience in a highly skilled occupation but who do not have a job offer in Saskatchewan.

International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry

This sub-category is for skilled workers who have a profile in the Express Entry Pool and intend to live in work in Saskatchewan;

Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category is designed for foreign workers that are currently living in Saskatchewan and are on a valid work permit. Saskatchewan Experience Category includes following sub-categories:

Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit

Skilled applicants in this sub-category must be working in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a valid work permit.

Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit

Candidates within this category must have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a valid work permit, and have a valid job offer from a provincial employer in NOC 8431: General Farm Worker or NOC 8432: Nursery and Greenhouse Worker.

Health Professionals

This sub-category is developed for candidates who have been working full-time in Saskatchewan for at least six months, on a temporary work permit as a physician, nurse or other health professional.

Hospitality Sector Project

This sub-category is for foreign candidates who are currently employed in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit, have been working with an SINP Hospitality-approved employer for a minimum of six months (960 hours); and have a job in the following NOCs: Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6513), Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6711), Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6731).

Long Haul Truck Driver Project

This sub-category is for candidates who are currently employed at trucking firms in Saskatchewan. Candidates must be on a temporary foreign work permit and have been employed in Saskatchewan at least six months before applying.

Students

Students who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in    Canada can apply for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Entrepreneur and Farm Categories

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category accepts applications to the SINP from international students graduating from a Saskatchewan institution and intending to become an entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur

The SINP Entrepreneur Program allows applicant and his family start, buy or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and actively participate in operating it, while living in Saskatchewan. Entrepreneur sub-category functions via Expression of Interest system (EOI).
