What is Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)?

Qualified candidates can apply for this program in order to work and live in Alberta.

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) has 3 streams:

Alberta Opportunity Stream

Self-Employed Farmer Stream

Alberta Express Entry Stream

Who can apply for Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)?

Individuals who have shown strong ties to Alberta or who can help promote the government’s economic advancement and diversification priorities may be asked to submit an application.

International students, who graduated from Canadian post-secondary institutions may also be asked to submit an application under this stream.

Only candidates who are asked to submit an application to the Alberta Express Entry Stream will be considered.

Alberta Opportunity Stream

Individuals who are meeting stream’s minimum eligibility criteria and are working in Alberta in an acceptable occupation can apply for AINP within this stream.

Alberta Express Entry Stream

This stream permits Alberta to nominate a defined number of individuals from Canadian Express Entry system. A person can earn additional 600 points in Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if he gets Alberta Nomination.

Self-Employed Farmer Stream

  • Candidates for Self-Employed Farmer Stream must have relevant experience, sufficient funds and a business plan in order to be able to purchase and manage a farm in Alberta.
